It’s finally here, the grand opening of GDAC’s longest-running signature show now in its 38th year: Materials Hard + Soft Contemporary Craft & Conceptual Art Competition and Exhibition. What began as an exhibition designed by founding member of GDAC Georgia Gough to elevate craftmanship typically excluded from what is considered “fine art,” MHS has grown to receive national and international recognition. This year MHS includes new categories for conceptual art and digital media to continue pushing the boundaries new mediums and materials.
