Frequently asked questions.

IS there an entry fee to the PAAC?

Admission is free! There is no fee or donation required to see our three galleries during our regular business hours from Tuesday to Saturday. Our events, workshops, and other programming are also free admission unless otherwise specified.

How do I become a GDAC member?

You can sign-up for membership either online or in-person at the PAAC!

Can I rent the PAAC for my event?

Yes, the PAAC is available for event rentals all year-round! All information about our event spaces, rental policies and pricing, and inquiry submission form can found on our rentals webpage. To rent with us, please allow at least a 30-day notice, wherein all rental fees will be due at the time of contract signing. If the preferred date of your event, falls under the 30-day window of notice, please reach out to our Rentals Coordinator, Brittni Geissler, for further guidance.

Our East Craft Room and dance studio are also available for hourly rentals! For more information, please contact our Administrative Assistant Darby Murnane.

is there a fee to submit a exhibition proposal or any requirements to exhibit work at the PAAC?

There are no fees required to submit an exhibition proposal in any of our three galleries! At this time, the only show for which we do charge a submission fee is our annual Materials: Hard + Soft Contemporary Craft & Conceptual Art Competition and Exhibition. You may submit a proposal at any time throughout the year on this page. Please note that we book shows at least a year in advance as space is limited.

Requirements for exhibitions can vary from show to show. You can check out past and current exhibitions on our website and send any questions to our Exhibitions Curator, Caitlin Spencer.

GDAC members can also submit exhibition proposals for our Sister Gallery sites.

Does GDAC accept donations of artwork from local artists, estates, or other groups?

No, we cannot accept donations of artwork at this time. We do not have the necessary facilities to house permanent collections of work.

Does GDAC appraise or authenticate artwork?

No, GDAC does not appraise or authenticate artwork or have appraisers on staff. To find someone who can help, go to: https://www.isa-appraisers.org/. The International Society of Appraisers has a directory of appraisers that you can search by zip code.

Can I commission artwork from GDAC? Or can GDAC help me find an artist to commission?

Sorry, we do not offer artwork commissions or directly assist with commissions. However, you can check our current member list and research any of our artist members to see if you’d like to connect with them.

What’s the best way to set-up a meeting with a GDAC staff member?

Send us an email! While our doors are always open to the public during business hours, our staff have busy calendars so we’re typically unable to accommodate drop-in meetings. We check our email inboxes daily and will get back to you as promptly as possible. You can find our contact information here.
